
On Wednesday evening, on February 19, in London there was a ceremony of presenting the Brit Awards in the field of pop music. In the nominations, “Best British Group” and “Best British Album”, the rock band from Sheffield Arctic Monkeys won.
According to BBC , Arctic Monkeys were the first musicians in the history of the award for the third time awarded in both nominations. The Brit Awards (previously BPI Awards ) has been awarded to the British Association of Phonogram manufacturers since 1977.
This year, “Am” is the best, the fifth studio album of Arctic Monkeys . He went out in September 2013 and immediately took first place in the UK Albums Chart rating.
David Bowie, the best British performer, was recognized as the best British performer - Ellie Golding.
The prize of the best foreign group was awarded to the French duet Daft Punk , which recently received five Grammy. In the nomination "Best Foreign Artist", the New Zealand singer Lorde and American musician Bruno Mars won.
