The prosecutor asked the Moscow District Military Court to cancel the verdict to the former commander of the Ski pilot group Valery Morozov, fined for 775 thousand rubles in the case of an attempt to receive a bribe, RIA Novosti reports.
As Interfax clarifies, the prosecutor referred to inconsistencies in the announced sentence and in the document issued in the printed version. At the same time, he added that he considers the sentence legal and motivated.
Earlier, the pilot’s lawyer Alexander Vysotsky said that the examination revealed a forgery in the verdict of the Odintsovo garrison military court: after the announcement to him, another page of the text was added. Morozov himself explained that the charges were strengthened in the additional text.
The court sentenced Morozov to a fine of 775 thousand rubles in July last year. At the same time, the prosecutor demanded a fine of 1.55 million rubles, deprivation of military rank and a two -year ban on holding state duty. According to the investigation, Morozov demanded from his subordinates awaiting dismissal, part of their monetary allowance, promising in response to ignore the fact that before the exit of the order he would not appear in the service. On August 27, 2012, Morozov was detained upon receipt of 31 thousand rubles from the officer. In the fall of the same year, Morozov was dismissed from the armed forces "for failure to fulfill the terms of the contract", his place in the "harshrot" was taken by the pilot of "Sokolov of Russia" Maxim Musatov.
Valery Morozov did not admit his guilt, saying that he was stipulated. The pilot tried to challenge the dismissal in court, but he was recognized as legal.
