This is not a conversation on an extremely important topic now and not even a draft of conversation. Rather, a sketch of the sketch.
The priest in (seems) soldier's trowh and with a wooden cross in his hand leads to a huge short -haired man in the gray. The man has a gloomy embarrassed face, as if the three -year -old, who stands at the board and does not understand Belmes. The man is not good. Behind him are still men in the same clothes, gloomy, dumb, similar to a convoy of prisoners from photographs of the war. On the left, the column is accompanied by another priest, it seems, because of the distant gloomy men, the third is visible. Priests lead short -haired men in gray along a rather narrow corridor, formed by other men and guys - already in more heterogeneous clothes; However, the Militari style prevails. The mouth of one of the numbness is closed by a bandage, the other is on the right, the bandage from the mouth is lowered, but the red construction helmet is on the head. The case takes place at the pinkish facade of a huge Stalin building with large windows, pseudo -classical white columns, on a dried lawn - an indispensable Christmas tree, which finally gives out the Soviet/post -Soviet style of the present place. You can see some banners with slogans over the front door to the building, people stand near the walls and observe a procession. In the background - another building, clearly more prying. PUNCTUM photos - plexus of the hands of a priest and captive. The latter holds the brush like reluctantly, like a child whom his grandmother drags into a hated music school; The counselor, on the contrary, is full of energy and determination. He will bring these people/children where necessary. The photo makes the impression of severe fatigue and heavy hopelessness. Vitya Maleev at school and at home grew up and plays the plots of Assyrian bas -reliefs about the city taken in full.
But this is so, a lyrics with aesthetics. The other-symbolic-the level is rather in the field of socio-political and cultural. We look at the photo again. The Ukrainian priest saves several government soldiers who surrendered to the rebels from the lynching. He leads them to a safe place. More conscious (which in this case means “enlightened and humane”) the rebels lined up by the corridor, protecting the prisoners from the angry people. However, the people, especially angry, are not visible in the photo. He is behind the scenes. Those who hold back the invisible crowd, intelligent faces. Apparently, the middle class, students and so on. What kind of socio-political drama is played before us?
A priest, a soldier, a student and a people - a pure Dostoevsky with Chekhov, as if there was neither the collapse of the USSR, nor "integration into Europe."
Today this can be seen in the photo from Latin America, Asia and even more so Africa. Undoubtedly, this could be seen in the pictures of the Civil War in Yugoslavia. There are four acting forces: a bloodthirsty people (not visible), a thin chain of a humanistically thinking middle class, a church and soldiers. The first thing you notice here is the absence of the state. It exists only in the form of an administrative building (captured by the rebels) and the military (captured). The state capitulated in this picture. But there are different social groups; Their set unpleasantly surprises with its primitiveness. The people absent in the photo habitually threatens their shapelessness and rage. The enlightened middle class is habitually trying to observe the face - his own and someone else's. The soldiers are familiar either to kill, or (in this case) are handed over. Well, the church - it, as expected, leads to itself. Looking at the picture, you feel dizziness, as if you are falling rapidly. Indeed, you fall - into a social, political, cultural archaic.
A priest, a soldier, a student and a people - a pure Dostoevsky with Chekhov, as if there was neither Soviet power, no Soviet modernization, nor the collapse of the USSR, no more than twenty years of talk about the post -Soviet society and “integration into Europe”. Everything is empty, everything turned out to be unnecessary and discarded in a few days. In the yard, the nineteenth century with the emotional singing of national hymns, folk heroes and executioners, freedom in barricades (only she now speaks in English, and she is shown in YouTube ). “Disde”, Rimorjimento, Polish uprising, Hungary and the continuous Shantdor Pethefi. And around the diplomatic nonsense of the time from the Vienna Congress to the First World War: they say, we will take this piece for ourselves, we will install a protectorate over this, and this ... God with them, let them live there. Passions are raging, mutual insults are almost exclusively about blood and soil, about “we” and “they”. In the arena, only soldiers, priests, compassionate (and dangerous) students-Strekulist and class universified “people”. There was not even Marx in this world. This is even before the class struggle. Early industrial archaic.
All of the above is easy to write off the “heavy Soviet heritage” department, which prevents the former parts of the USSR from behaving decently. Alas, the situation is quite the opposite - and not only in Ukraine, of course. First of all, if there is a “Soviet” problem, then not his “presence”, but a complete absence, disappearance without any trace. Society that arose on the site of the former USSR (I do not mean the Baltic republics and not the countries of Central Asia) live as if in the yard the same 1913, which we allegedly “lost”. A semi-frost-tank system with decorative pseudo-democratic institutions, a redesigned press for an insignificant percentage of the population, thieves-governors, disgusting city, ubiquitous priests, dissatisfied intelligentsia-and the same shapeless “people” from which it is necessary to protect themselves, or to protect him from the above. The ossified power, in fact, is not interesting and not necessary for anyone - except those who are associated with the redesigned press (see above). The life of society occurs somewhere else than where the power and its opponents translate their words. There is nothing that was in the USSR: the image of the future, an enlightening project, industrialization, a large strategy, even a large terror. The Soviet bosses were the villains of a great conceptual scope, despite the personal insignificance of many of them. The post -Soviet elites with a bit are stuffed with the insignificants of an insignificant scope. This is not nostalgia, no; Counting.
We observe the archaization of almost all spheres of life, comparable except with the barbarization of the former provinces of the Roman Empire.
But it turns out again almost the lyrics. At a higher reflective level, Kiev photo demonstrates, alas, only one - one hundred years and millions of victims in vain. Soviet modernization failed, no one carried out the post -Soviet. We observe an amazing historical phenomenon of the archaization of almost all (except technological) spheres of life, comparable except with the barbarization of the former provinces of the Roman Empire. The twentieth century seemed to be not, especially the post -war. The priest leads a prisoner soldier at the walls of the captured palace - and this is not postmodernism, this is almost now the homeodermanism.
But not everything is so bad for the eastern part of Europe, which is used to measuring its shortcomings in comparison with the advantages of another, western part. If the blood and soil spoke loudly in the east, and the priests lead the prisoners from the lynching crowd, then in the West - where so far they only speak about blood and soil, in the rigid framework of anti -immigration rhetoric - society quickly fails in archaic, but only a slightly different properties. There, too, they no longer remember the class division; Whoever you are - unemployed, an engineer or doctor, a banker or journalist - you belong either to the rich or to the poor. The unemployed can live relatively well, and working with a university diploma sometimes lacks (yes, all that is called this “new poverty”) just for food. The subtleties of property relations have gone the past and are reduced to one - to the number of zeros in the bank account (if there are any zeros in the amount of more than one). Over and over, as in some XVIII century, urban unrest flashes; These are not “migrants” are pouring, these are poor robbing shops and shops. Almost everyone is archaized - an education where they refuse complex humanitarian items in favor of elementary and applied, international journalism, which has switched from analytics of events in foreign lands to the immortal style “We are written from Janin”, intra -political rhetoric, which more and more resembles the communication of Roman emperors with a crowd of loafers who inhabited the eternal city, but most importantly, it is arishamed by archaic The way of European life, once complex, based on advanced technologies, highly developed industry, mature public opinion and the presence of a well -prepared bureaucracy for the civil service. Instead, we see the ruins of modernity, the enterprises left, the outsourcing functions of the state, the crowds of the unemployed and the cult of the most protozoa - to eat delicious, it is nice to drink, stretch in full, and even without harm to health. Well, somewhere there he was puffed-in Internet forums and tabloids, in football stadiums, in the back streets of poor quarters. Everything is the same as in the east of Europe - but so far as a certain horizon of the future.
