The agreement to resolve the crisis in Ukraine, which the parties to the conflict agreed to initial at negotiations in Kiev on Friday night, provides for voting to change the constitution in September 2014 and holding early presidential elections in December, said the leader of the Party of Regions faction, Alexander Efremov, in an interview with the agency “ Interfax" on Friday.

According to him, the document will stipulate that within 48 hours after its signing a law on returning to the 2004 constitution must be drafted. “Then the procedure for voting for the constitution, changes to the constitution will be prescribed, the balance of power between the president and the cabinet of ministers and voting on this constitution in September will be prescribed, and if the constitution is voted on in September, then in December there will be presidential elections,” said Efremov .

Earlier, opposition Verkhovna Rada deputy Oleg Lyashko wrote on his Facebook page that he managed to find out the contents of the draft agreement. “We agreed: within 48 hours - a return to the 2004 constitution, within 10 days - the formation of a coalition government, in December - early presidential elections,” the parliamentarian wrote. He also noted that the provisions of the agreement do not meet the demands of the protesters, who are seeking the removal of President Viktor Yanukovych from power and his trial, the release of political prisoners, etc.
