A ban on the profession. For smart and honest
On February 20, for a post on Facebook in support of the Maidan and critical statements to the Russian population, the editor of the Computerbild magazine, ZAO Burda, Dmitry Shulgin. Here are for what words in a personal diary they fired the candidate of philosophical sciences, who had the best indicators at work: “Sometimes, having listened to conversations in the subway and at work, you begin to think that 99% of Russians are now praising Yanukovych and urging all Ukrainians who are called Benders who have been called by Benders ... If my people sold their souls to the devil, I am not following him.” In Burd, Shulgin explained that “political activity on Facebook” is incompatible with work in a computer journal, ”and also that if he does not quit immediately, he will be declared an extremist and Germany will cover him with a Schengen visa.
The dismissal happened rapidly and tough. The post was dated February 19, February 20, the chief personnel officer of the Burda, Mr. Zetepepandt gave Shulgin a work book without a recommendation, which actually means the issuance of a “wolf ticket”.
In this regard, there are several questions. Some of them are not even addressed to the Moscow authorities of the Burda, but to the head of the entire largest German publishing house, releasing over 250 magazines around the world, to Hubert Burda. In 70 magazines that Burda publishes in Russia, several hundred employees work. Does the Burda security service close the blogs of each of them or is the exception for Shulgin? Are any political statements on social networks or only those that do not coincide with the opinion of the Russian leadership? Does Mr. Hyubert Burd believe that the leader of his country, Ms. Angela Merkel, as well as the employees of Burda, who fired Schulgin, considers the Support of Maidan and condemning those who call Ukrainians Bender?
Foreign companies working in Russia are characterized by the syndrome of "colonial behavior". If cannibalism is common among natives, then why not try a local dish? The taboo accepted at home does not apply to the natives. The Burda management in Russia behaves as he would never behave in Germany. Example: unscrupulous competition, namely, the overestimation of the circulations, for which in Germany the publisher would fly out of the market, like a traffic jam from a bottle. In Russia, the Burda magazines overstate the circulations of an average of one and a half to two times, shamelessly deceiving advertisers. For example, “playboy” lies 2 times, “Lisa” is 2.5 times, “Dasha” is 1.6 times, “Automir” by 1.4 times. In this regard, the question is to Mr. Hubert Burde, does he consider it normal?
There are no and cannot have any questions to the Russian media organizations, the guild of publishers and the Union of Journalists. Among their leaders, the actions of the Burda will clearly meet a complete understanding. The main issues, of course, to yourself and to colleagues. Maybe you should still have something like a journalistic trade union or somehow try to protect honest and smart people in the profession? Or will we look at how we are squeezed off by one?
