Nevsky Prospekt in St. Petersburg on Google maps turned out to be designated as Maly Prospekt of the Petrograd Side. The error was noticed by readers of the St. Petersburg publication Fontanka .

According to Google maps, there are two Maly Avenues on the Petrograd Side in St. Petersburg, one of them is located on Petrogradskaya, and the second is in the city center from Sadovaya Street to the Neva.
At the time of publication of the note on the search query “Maly Prospekt P.S.” maps show the second option, which is actually part of Nevsky Prospekt.
In addition, the Petrogradskaya metro station, which is located in close proximity to the real Maly Prospect of the Petrograd Side, has disappeared from Google maps.
A Google press representative said that the company is already aware of the error and is working to fix it.
