Manufacturer of a children's game will be fined by a homophobic law

In the Smolensk region in relation to the director of Komet-Plus LLC, the manufacturer of the children's game Fanta, the case was opened on the fact of propaganda of "non-traditional sexual relations" among minors (part 1 Article 6.21 of the Code of Administrative Offenses). This was reported by Interfax with reference to the senior assistant to the prosecutor of the Smolensk region Alexander Borovikov.

“During the prosecutor’s audit, it was found that the manufacturer of the Fanta game, which has an age restriction for persons from 12 years old, violated the legislation regarding the ban on propaganda of non -traditional sexual relations among minors,” Borovikov said. “The case was sent to the magistrate court. This article provides for a fine of 40-50 thousand rubles.”

Comet-Plus LLC is registered in the Demidov district center of the Smolensk region. Borovikov noted that the audit was carried out at the appeal of the Parental Committee of Stavropol.

On January 16, the press service of the prosecutor's office of the Stavropolsky Territory reported that in the Katyusha "Katyusha" desktop game "Fanta , signs of propaganda" non-traditional sexual relations "were found .

The owners of the store are warned of the inadmissibility of violations of the law. The supplier issued an order to eliminate violations of the law. One person is brought to disciplinary liability. Also checked in the store of the children's assortment. In addition, the supervisory authority sent materials to organize the checking of other Katyusha chain stores. Materials were also sent to regional prosecutors to verify the suppliers and manufacturers of the game.

The prosecutor’s office reported on the beginning of the audit in the Katyusha store on December 13. The game was bought in November one of the residents of Stavropol. As the lawyer of the Parental Committee of Stavropol explained, the game contains tasks suggesting "portray lovers of the same sex" or "play a role in an erotic film."

The chain of stores said that they removed the game from the sale, without waiting for the decision of the prosecutors. At the same time, the company noted that the game can be found in many other children's stores.

The law on the prohibition of propaganda of "non -traditional sexual relations" among minors has been operating in Russia since the summer of 2013 . For its violation, a fine of up to 1 million rubles is provided.
