Russia asks the ECHR to reject the complaint of Lutskevich, Polikhovich and Zimin
The Russian government sent a memorandum to the European Court of Human Rights with answers about the complaints of three defendants in the "Swamp case" Denis Lutskevich, Alexei Polikhovich and Stepan Zimin. This was reported in his blog by lawyer Dmitry Agranovsky.
According to the lawyer, the issues of the ECHR concerned an inhuman appeal regarding the accused and defendants, unlawful arrest and unlawful extension of the detention. "The Government of the Russian Federation, as before, on the 20 pages of the memorandum completely rejects the arguments of the applicants and asks them to reject in full as unjustified in the meaning of Article 35 of paragraph 3 (acceptability conditions) of the European Convention on the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms, including the complaint of Denis Lutskievich in terms of his beating during the detention at the rally on May 6, 2012," - writes Agranovsky.
Until April 30, the Party of the applicants must submit the ECHR comments on the memorandum of the Russian government and other procedural documents. “According to completely similar complaints (simply made on the same template) I have already won and therefore I think our position is not bad,” said Agranovsky.
The complaint of Lutskevich, Polikhovich and Zimin was communicated by the ECHR on December 19. In total, 12 defendants in the "swamp business" turned to the ECHR. The complaint of seven of them will also be considered priority . On September 17, the ECHR was combined into one production of the appeal of Vladimir Akimenkov, Yaroslav Belousov, Leonid Kovyazin, Artem Savelov, Andrei Barabanov, Mikhail Kosenko and Nikolai of the Caucasus under the general name "Vladimir Akimenkov and six others against Russia."
On January 17, the Ministry of Justice sent answers to the ECHR to the court questions on this complaint.

On December 19, Akimenkov, Caucasian and Kovyazin were released under amnesty . However, the ECHR continued the consideration of their complaints.
