Virtual GMNIs will be shown in the spring

After a month and a half, the presentation of the virtual State Museum of New Western Art (GMNZi) will be held.

This was announced at a meeting of the board of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation on Wednesday in Moscow, Minister of Culture Vladimir Medinsky, reports RIA Novosti .

“The discussion about the reconstruction of the Museum of New Western Arts in Moscow stirred the whole society, even people far from museum. - said Medinsky. - As a result, we decided to create a virtual museum. A month and a half will pass the presentation <...>. The contractors set the task of making the best virtual museum in the world. ”

The long -standing idea of ​​the Director of the Pushrooms named after Pushkin Irina Antonova to recreate in Moscow a closed in 1948, GMNZi received a wide discussion after the “direct line” of Vladimir Putin last spring. The President said then that he would support any decision on the revival of the museum, but after a preliminary study by a professional community.

As a result, the Government of the Russian Federation decided on the inappropriateness of reconstruction of the museum. Medinsky later said that he signed an order to create virtual GMNZi.
