The Verkhovna Rada and the Cabinet of Ministers of Crimea were captured by armed people in the form without identification marks. The prosecutor's office qualified the capture as a terrorist attack. An extraordinary session of the Crimea Parliament was held under the muzzles of the machine guns, which decided to hold a referendum on May 25 on the status of autonomy. The new authorities of Ukraine and the NATO block warned Russia about the inadmissibility of interference in the Crimean affairs.
