The concert of the Ukrainian rock band Ocean Elsa, which was supposed to take place in St. Petersburg on March 31, was finally canceled.
This is about this, February 28, ITAR-TASS was a representative of the concert organizer, Euroshou.
“The concert was canceled for two reasons - unilateral termination of the lease agreement by the administration of the Ice Palace, and also because Sibur Arena is not technically suitable,” the representative of the promoter explained. Money for tickets can be returned at the box office of the Ice Palace.
Earlier, the deputy of the Legislative Assembly of St. Petersburg Vitaly Milonov proposed to ban the concerts of the Elsa Ocean group, which in March should begin a tour of Russia. He also made a proposal to deprive the right to enter the country of the leader of the group of Svyatoslav Vakarchuk because he and the rest of the team adhere to radical views and participated in Euromaidan.
In response, Svyatoslav Vakarchuk in his blog rejected the accusations of nationalism and declared love for Russian culture and St. Petersburg.
Initially, the Petersburg concert of the Elsa Ocean was supposed to be held in the Ice Palace, which on February 27 reported his cancellation "for reasons beyond the control of the Ice Palace." Today it was announced that the concert was not canceled, but transferred to another site - to the Sibur Arena sports complex.
