
The Tver court of Moscow extended until April the deadline for detention is civil activist Sergei Mokhnatkin. This was reported by RAPSI with reference to lawyer Vyacheslav Makarov. Thus, the court granted the application of the investigation to extend the previously elected restraint in relation to a political prisoner.
"During the discussion of the petition, it turned out that the prosecutor returned the case against Mokhnatkin to the investigator to eliminate errors and clarify the prosecution," Makarov said. He also said that during the meeting, Mokhnatkin refused a lawyer, expressing a desire to defend himself on his own.
On Wednesday, the Moskhorsud’s appeal instance recognized its premises in the investigative insulator. Mokhnatkin in court demanded the withdrawal of a judge and prosecutor, and also asked to remove his lawyer Makarov from the process. Then Mokhnatkin declared a hunger strike and refused to answer the court questions, turning his back to the judge.
Mokhnatkin was detained at the December strategy-31 campaign and two days later arrested. Two cases were instituted against him under part 1 of Article 318 of the Criminal Code (the application of non -hazardous violence to a representative of the authorities). According to the first of them, the victim is a colonel of the 2nd Opera of the Main Directorate of Moscow Sergey Shorin, according to the second - an employee of the same regiment, whose name did not appear in open sources.
After delivering to the Butyrka, the Politzek refused to take pictures and take fingerprints. For this, he was put in a punishment cell for 15 days . In protest, Mokhnatkin announced a hunger strike, which he took off due to health reasons in mid -January.
