The developers of Rebump have created a service that forces Gmail users to respond to important emails by sending them reminders without their desire, writes Techcrunch.

Rebump is a free add-on to the popular email service that works in Chrome and Firefox browsers. Once installed, Gmail users have the option to enable reminders for the recipient when sending an email.
When an email recipient does not respond to a message within 24 hours, Rebump sends them a reminder email. The service will continue to send reminders in the following days if the user continues to ignore them. According to research by Rebump developers, after the third reminder, 100% of users respond to the original message.
Some users reacted negatively to the new startup, calling it “the worst startup of all time.”
This is by far THE WORST start up I have ever heard of. What a fucked up idea. No. A thousand times no. http://t.co/TWtIeEfs3u

And they even threaten their friends with blocking anyone in their mail who tries to use this service.
Fair warning, I will block anyone who uses the ReBump email tool on me. Worst idea in years. http://t.co/vqZccs9wB1
