The arrest of the vice president of the "City without drugs" has been extended

The Verkh-Isetsky District Court of Yekaterinburg extended until June 21 inclusive the term of detention of the Vice President of the City without drugs Yevgeny Malenkin, Rapsei reports. He is accused of illegal deprivation of the freedom of the fund's rehabilitation and of the illegal acquisition, storage and sale of drugs.

On January 20, the same court extended the arrest of Malenkin until March 22. The defense appealed this decision, but the higher court upheld it. Malenkin himself asked him to put him under house arrest or let him go on bail.

On February 13 , in the case of Malenkin, the founder of the fund, mayor of Yekaterinburg, Yevgeny Roizman, was interrogated . "The episode of Article 138.1 of the Criminal Code (illegal circulation of special technical means designed for the unspoken receipt of information. - Ed.) A year and a half ago, on a search in the fund found some hours where, in addition to the clock, a stopwatch and an alarm clock, there was also a function of video and audio recordings. The level is much weaker than any cell phone. Now they are trying to bind these hours to malenkin." According to Roizman, this case has no prospects.

On November 22, Malenkin was detained by law enforcement agencies after the annual absence in Yekaterinburg. He was charged with part 3 of article 228.1 of the Criminal Code (illegal acquisition, storage and sale of a narcotic drug on an especially large scale). According to investigators, he instructed to throw drugs to a person who was prosecuted for them. At the same time, Malenkin himself did not throw drugs.

The wound of Malenkin was charged in absentia of illegal deprivation of the freedom of patients with the rehabilitation center of the city without drugs.

On November 21, the Berezovsky City Court of the Sverdlovsk Region in the same case sentenced an employee of the Igor Shabalin fund to two years and four months of restriction of freedom. The court found him guilty under Part 1 of Article 127 of the Criminal Code (imprisonment not related to abduction). At the same time, Shabalin was accused of 2 parts of this article. In aggravating circumstances, the accusation considered the action of an organized group, as well as the death of one of the rehabilitants. Tatyana Kazantseva died in a hospital from meningitis in June 2012.

The court found that there were no causal relations between the actions of Shabalin and the death of Kazantseva. The court also considered the defendant’s actions unproven as part of the group and excluded two episodes out of nine from the prosecution.

After the release of Shablin in the courtroom, the police detained his colleague Sergei Kolesnichenko on the same place. He is accused of three episodes. The statements of it were written by three people who used a drug called Spice. On February 13, he was charged.
