The "rain" remains a month

Today, March 4, the Director General of the Rain television channel Natalya Sindeeva said that the channel, the broadcast of which was stopped by all the largest operators, could be closed in a month.

“Today we have to live one month. A month later, we must close ourselves, ”Sindeeva said at a meeting of the Human Rights Council under the President of the Russian Federation (HRC), dedicated, in particular, the situation around the channel, reports Lenta.ru with reference to Interfax.

According to the Director General of Rain, the life of the channel can be extended for another two to three months, reducing the salary to the entire team. Soon a meeting with the Rain employees will be held, on which reductions will be offered.

At the end of January, the largest cable TV providers began to turn off the rain after a survey conducted by him on the eve of the 70th anniversary of the lifting of the blockade of Leningrad and the outrage of deputies, officials and public figures.

The leadership of the channel called the situation of the political campaign. Natalya Sindeeva stated that the operators received the order to turn off the rain under any pretext. On February 4, at a press conference, Sindeev and the channel investor Alexander Vinokurov admitted that the channel could not exist for a long time without distribution in cable and satellite networks.

The HRC supported the rain, accusing the operators of censorship and calling the campaign in the destruction of the canal.

On March 4, the editor -in -chief of the television channel Mikhail Zygar said that the rain team revised its professional ethics code, as well as ready to create a trusteeship from recognized authorities that can monitor the rain and indicate the channel errors.
