Opposition sites are blocked in Russia

Today, March 13, in several regions of Russia, the sites of Kasparov.ru (“Internet Gazeta Harry Kasparov”), Grani.ru (“Brani.ru”) and EJ.ru (“Dawn Journal”) have ceased to open.

It is reported by "Echo of Moscow" with reference to users of social networks. Complaints about the blocking came from Yota subscribers, Rostelecom, Beeline, online, TTK-Barnaul and MGTS.

According to the Twitter "Grani.ru", the blocking is carried out according to the "Lugovoi Law", which allows you to limit access to sites with calls for inconsistent protests.

At the request of the General Prosecutor's Office of the Russian Federation, the following Internet resources were included in the Unified Register of Prohibited Information: www.grani.ru , www.kasparov.ru , www.ej.ru. These sites contain calls for illegal activities and participation in mass measures conducted in violation of the established procedure.

Also, at the request of the General Prosecutor's Office of the Russian Federation, the register signed the Bloghosting Page “Living Journal”: http://navalny.livejournal.com . The functioning of this Internet page violates the provisions of the court decision on the election of a preventive measure to a citizen against whom a criminal case has been instituted.

Communications operators awarded the requirement for an immediate restriction of access to these resources.

PPS according to customers of the Internet provider "Akado", access to the site "Echo of Moscow" has stopped. Akado confirmed the radio stations that its site was really blocked due to the fact that it was posted on the materials from the blog of Alexei Navalny. The representative of the provider apologized to the users and said that access to the Echo of Moscow website would be restored.

The editor -in -chief of the radio station, Alexei Venediktov, wrote on Twitter that the Echo of Moscow website also blocked the provider “Business Communication Holding”.
