Last Monday, as part of the New Play project at the Golden Mask festival in the capital's Theater. DOC ”took place the premiere of“ Diaries of the Maidan ” - a documentary project by Natalia Vorozhbit and Andrei May on Ukrainian events of recent months. The authors kindly granted the right to first publication of fragments of Maidan's Diaries to Colta.ru.
Natalya Vorozhbit: “For three months, members of the theater movement“ Ukrainian New Drama ”collected materials, interviews, certificates of people and events of the Maidan, about themselves. They talked with students beaten during the first force acceleration. This event became a turning point in the history of the Ukrainian revolution. With the Cossacks serving in the Self -Defense of the Maidan and living according to the laws of the Zaporizhzhya Sich. With the guys who built the catapult and threw Molotov cocktails into the “Golden Eagle”, with their girls who gave them bottles with incendiary mixture. With people who hate Maidan and call the participants in the revolution “Maidan”. They spoke with volunteers of the kitchens and first -aid posts of the Maidan. They listened to each other. The authors of the project have one drawback - we support the Maidan with all our hearts and are direct participants in the events. The main task is to fix reality and momentary reflection. The play does not have the ending, as the final has no struggle for Ukrainians for freedom and justice. ”
The acceleration of students from November 29 to 30 caused a huge wave of indignation, and a record number of people came out on Sunday in the evening of December 1. According to various sources, from 300 thousand to one and a half million.
On the same day, there was an attempt to storm the presidential administration.
On the same day, there was an attempt to tie a monument to Lenin.
On the same day, the Kyiv city administration was taken - KMDA.
Back on the night of November 30, the Mikhailovsky Cathedral opened its doors to the victims.
Yurko: How many people were, I do not know. There, on the Maidan, 700 thousand were declared. I don’t know, I was amazed, passionate when I saw this crowd, I left the Street of Institutskaya, photographed there, everything is great, it’s so - oh, people showed their will. If the n-did not happen this event, the beating of students, there who does not even support the regionals, does not support European integration, but simply condemns the actions of the Berkut, condemns the actions of the authorities, e-e, many more people have come out with such motivation. E-oh well done, gathered. Class, everything is wonderful. But just - what's next? Well, now the people are gathered. And where will they lead him? Or what will our leaders tell him? They did not say anything. It became very disappointing from this. They announced that we have three planes, and, b and c, we will not tell you today, but we will tell them tomorrow. And when these leaders arrived, they said that we have four more planes, but we will not tell you again, we will only say tomorrow. Ah, no, two days later. So I just saw that people were very lost. Everyone was waiting for actions. And just no action or coercion to action happened. And so the part moved along the institute ... I went to storm the administration ... I ask: brothers, where are you going? They say: so we go there, they say. And from there we go there. And no one knows where to go. I did not know: why storm this administration? Or who is there? There is no president. Capture documentation? Among us I do not see either lawyers or the one who would understand this.
Red-haired woman: At some point, you understand that you don’t hear anything, you don’t see, and you really want to cough, because it is gas. I understand that that is, that is, in some kind of fighting that did not know where we arose-we just stood on the Maidan, did not understand anything like that, did not hear, did not see. And I heard that the attack began. That everyone begins to run somewhere, push. And at that moment I understand that I am among some people who, well, were very clamped with each other, pressed. And I am between them like a soldier, like a sardine. And they fulfill some teams: “I sat down”-I sat with them, “got up”-I got up with them. And then "fell!" - I fell with them. “Closed my mouth”-well, I don’t remember some exact phrases, but that was so. And I was in a sweater, I pulled a sweater, and it was there ... saved. “They got up”, “ran” - and I ran with them, because I had no way out. I got into some unit of someone who did something there. But it was very clearly, in a military person, training. And thanks to them, with them, I ran out to the end of Bankova, and then they already began to scream who was where. Of course, I also began to run, because in the back, well, there are two meters, the Berkutians ran and all stupidly pounded with sticks. What they saw - they were pounding. Of course, I just ran away so that n ... n ... I didn’t get on the head. When we fled, many people stumbled and fell, because the institute - there are all kinds of flower beds, all garbage. Someone could jump, someone could not jump, someone fell-he fell, he was immediately trampled, and then the Berkutians beat him on top, finished off, shouted. I heard how “I am a journalist, I am a press” - “Oh you, bitch” - and get it. Just at that moment I noticed - there are Viennese buns opposite the National Bank, steps, and I realized that this is ... my salvation. I jumped down these two steps, pressed, the Berkutians rushed, but at that moment there was a woman, such an ordinary one-at a normal age, at some kind of average-a woman with some kind of poster. She wanted something there-she demanded. The Berchutovets beats some young lad on the back, he falls, pushes this woman, she falls on the railing-such iron different railing. So lies. Berkutians run, then go back. And I tell the guys who are near: "Let's raise it." We raise it, turn it over, and instead of a face, she just has a piece of meat. She was still struck on top, and she fell with this face on these different iron railings and crushed her nose, eyes, all that is possible - just everything in the blood. The guys were even at a loss, and I got my journalistic certificate - by that time I had already made a certificate. And I say to them: “She needs an ambulance,” she took out, put up a certificate in front of her. The Berkutians still ran, but already retreated. They took her hands, began to carry, I shouted that I was a press-press, although it is already clear that it was pointless, but at least somehow ...
Andrey-2: My first contact was the present with the revolution in the kitchen. Because I saw that the guy was there ... We approached the kitchen there to take some kind of sandwiches there, I saw a guy who had a hand cut, and, uh, blood flows, and he does it like that. And these are seals, sandwiches, and he does it all that. And he doesn’t have a second there, so that there is so to stop. I say, come on, uh, I took him a napkin, put it on my hand, said: go, I will stand for you. And so I stood, with my heavy bag, about 4-5 hours. From. Fasua tea of the seagulls about such was the stream large from. And I want to say that at that time I realized that a woman was standing next to me, and she already worked for 2 days, and, e, from 8 there to 10. I asked when you had a shift. She: what a shift, my dita stood here, to sing, they are not snining them here, and I will stand.
Andrey : And I go down and see how they climb on the second floor in KMDA, and put the red-black flag, and windows are knocked out. And I just understand that everything that I need in KMDA. And here ... This is all happening, the opening of the door, happy people, and there is just such a stream, uh, through the central entrance of people there, shimmering upstairs. And he makes you, we come in, and not so many people. And the People’s Deputy of Ukraine Type of Freedom voted about the barrel of the revolutionary committee, and I will write it down on the recorder. And they take off the portrait of the president and put it, and that it struck me that they carefully put him in a corner. That is ... first they put up their feet, and then turned over, the Schaub had already seen nothing. But no one broke the glass there on this, by the President’s portrait, yes. And I go back and meet at the entrance of such a standing and looking, but very famous director from the Baltic states, who came in order to meet with theatrical people today and show them a performance in the evening. And I say, you want here, he says, yes, yes, I want, and we go back, return to the hall, and there is a table, yes, there are tables in front of the presidium. I say, sit down, sit. Well, we are sitting down at this table of the Presidium, we just sit. And immediately people appear who begin to photograph us. I’m saying, well, you see, you’ve come to Ukraine for nothing.
And there the piano is worth it, I think, why do people not play. Well, these columns. Why do people not play this piano. And someone sits down and begins to play the piano. And then this series of interchangeable players on the piano went, yes. I say: and let Bethkhoven there, the anthem is there, e, the European Union. And no one can Beethoven and the anthem of the European Union. Chopin is playing there. Well, there’s one there, everything is about flowers. By the time we were, it turned into a secular rapt, because the piano played. And the boys, ahhh, well, who, apparently, arrived from small cities, they took pictures there against the backdrop of a piano, sat down, like I play.
Red-haired woman : And somehow everything became there ... Well, very ... On the one hand, it seems to be optimistic, joyful-that’s victory. We went to the Mikhailovsky Zlatoverhiy, and I went ... For the first time I saw this-I went inside, and there really was a service, and there were blankets, some other rugs. And there someone was sitting, someone was sleeping from people. And they took them somehow quietly, without any hysteria.
Andrey-2: And I was still smoked, I, well, was completely rushed there. I decided to somehow walk. I went around three times around the Mikhailovsky Cathedral. Because I know that this is how Buddhists go ... yes, yes, yes. Pilgrimage. And then I went behind the Mikhailov Cathedral and saw there, uh, ours, uh, Lena, who stood ... through the eyes of the wall. Just as if surrendered to this singing, prayer. And me too. I have been sitting for now. I felt bad for the time being. Well, because it's hard. Well, physically hard. And it was already too late, already 1 in the morning, I gradually began to fall asleep. And I was struck that, as it were, people, as it were, are as if sleeping, e, a sun ... The priest reads a prayer ... And it touched very much, I remember, I thought then that there is in Ukraine, well, there are, well, some holy things. Well, they are so deep enough. But they seem to be. That is, you lie to yourself a karemat, and there is an altar, which they prayed there, well, not Tisisyachu years ago, well, there 600 years ago. Near the transformation. I lay down near the ruins of the church and, uh, fell asleep there for several hours.
Yurko: Indeed, as in cinema, from and I had it. From how in the cinema, and then, when you go, well, in this one, in the Mikhailovsky Monastery, and the first picture catches your eye: a big iconostasis, and stands and, eu, the priest is small. He is probably the smallest of them all. But not young. And, u, when he read a prayer, and then you notice, well, uh, it lowers, well, uh, you notice that people are lying everywhere, sleeping. And he read, read not even with canonized texts, but about “asking for a student. After asking there, asking for the leader, e, worshiping the president. Ehob have mercy, Lord. " And as if so the impression, as if in his own words he read, it really was very strong. And just then when lay down, eh, lay down, well, laid some kind of jacket, e, lay down under the icon of St. Eugene, and either my consciousness was blurred at that moment, or it began to issue from me. Well, you just can't fall asleep. Well, here is the nervous system, well, it does not allow you to fall asleep. And such a fantasy, you will hear the sounds of explosions on Mikhailovskaya that some Bether, whom everyone had already expected, came out on Mikhailovskaya Square. We left Russia there, from Lviv. Uh, well, I understood that this could not be. I am persuading myself, I understand that this cannot be, but nevertheless, e, anyway, as if I can hear these sounds. And when, where, where about half a third comrade some kind of comrade, uh, from Polish, I ask-is everything that is there? Yes, everything is at the same. And somehow it turned out strange, even indecent-I rolled over to the right side and fell asleep.
Lecturer at the theater university: I vyklika. The axis, Ale in Men є taka tsikava ri. I go from the leatherette on the leatherette, I am Klya Svinati GIMN, I will not be able to do it at once, I have no time, Bo in the Men, Ochliz. Potim Tse All Vihikha, Potim to go through the glege of Godin I, I cry. I so three weeks. I am rosema, I am important Medical (all) . I am Virishvyv of my rector to go to my Polіklinіk і pіdіtologist ...
Girl : You can in Russian, probably.
The teacher of the theater university: to a neuropathologist. He defended the turn there, he is very popular.
Man : Mabut VSI GIMN SPIVYUT.
The teacher of the theater university : Yes. He came, shared his grief. She paused and said ... so she looked who came to her, and said: "You seem to be a normal person ... And there are many people there except you?" I also paused and say: "Yes, a million and a half." She is like this: "Why don't no one works?" I say: “How does it not work? Everyone works. That's with whom I talked - a woman who cuts sandwiches at night, works as a restaurant director during the day. People who provide first medical care-it turns out, the ambulance doctors, and a huge number of people who just close their business and ... live on the Maidan. ” Well, in general, I felt her absolutely indifferent attitude, she wrote down in the recipe, said: “Well ... go to the pharmacy, I think this will help you.” After I went to the pharmacy and they told me - you have 586 hryvnias, I realized that she was there to be avenge for my Maidan, so ... this is just that Maidan as a demarcation line that walks through the heart. Just in the left side, as if through the heart. Similarly with the Maidan. It is impossible to demand from everyone to share this state, but what, as one priest of the Greek Catholic Church said, "the great thing is the University of the Maidan." These are the young people who are standing, and middle -aged, and pass this purity - this is the males, they change - completely different ...
Man: Did you throw this recipe or not?
The teacher of the theater university: I have already paid money and drink, yes. It is written there, you know: only in three weeks the result will be visible.
Girl: Will you go on Sunday? Tell us later, okay? Will it work at least somehow on you or not?
The teacher of the theater university : Yes, now only from the word "veche" I already pay (laughs) . At first I went to the therapist, she says: “No, no, with your problem-only to a neurologist.” It’s good that not to a psychiatrist.
Girl : Why do you think this goes beyond the norm?
The teacher of the theater university : No, well, I understand that I'm starting to talk about it and I have a lump here. That is ... this is, as it were ... I understand that in general ... we squeeze a slave out of ourselves. That's all. The process is normal, but then it cuts the eyes very much.
Man: I also cry when I am on the Maidan among some events.
The teacher of the theater university : Well, in a huge energy field you get - an incredible energy field.
Girl: I only come up, only go, I see these people - tears begin in a wet place.
Man : I also look like it.
The teacher of the theater university : give you a recipe?
Everyone laughs.
Natasha Vorozhbit: I have a native aunt, dad's sister. I have not seen her for 15 years. I generally saw her twice in my life, at the birthday of dad and at his funeral. And now I met again, on the Maidan. Aunt Zhenya ... 68 years old.
Aunt Zhenya: I stood over the murdered Nigoyan and sobbed ... and the boy came up to me and says: do not cry, mamo, let's go to us. And I took it to the tent ... and I stayed there. They prepared and cleaned to eat, and they put the tents there, and, in general, when it was already difficult to have it, and they wore stones, and this one hit this water. All was wet, there was nothing to change. Cold! Not something - once - once! Because there is such a panic! The boy ran - “running! Run to Mikhailovskaya Square because the Berkutians run on this side. ” And when we began to run ... Why did it happen that all this burned down, they shout: “Do not run! Because they go down. ” And these boxes with fat. I lifted 20-kilogram boxes with lard ... Yes, they threw it into the fire. In order not to extinguish the fire. To enjoy it. If you remember, there was such a fiery belt. He had to be supported by something. They even threw clothes from themselves. Products. They took off their things. Somewhere my boot has gone. In general, everyone threw it. To burn. To defend them. All that was possible. Humanitarian assistance, clothes, everything was worn there. Tents .... I, as it were, went to the bank on this day, withdrew 4000, but I need to do a monument to my husband. And she received a salary, and this money, and my keys, and a mobile phone, and all in the world, and glasses, and everything in the world, everything, in general ... took with a tent and carried it to the fire ... and fat ... they took five hundred kilograms ... Salo carried it with boxes ...
There, some village drove this lard. Then this trade union house caught fire. We look at them - the boys are in the window. Well, panic, well, horror - how to get them from there! And they, fools, throw their things. Amunition, some packages, that's it. And behind them there is such a flame, such a fire. I don't know, I think that I died. I look, the Berkutians still come. Guys, I look, shout: "Stones, stones let's!" I am for these stones ... and, apparently, someone pushed, and I hit so. When I already came, a lull already, to look for things - there are no things and a tent. In general, some kind of nightmare. And I don’t know where to go, where to go. Because nowhere is there nothing. When I asked for the phone, I remembered my son’s phone. He is in a panic: where are you, mom ...
