
After the dismissal of the editor -in -chief Galina Timchenko, Fand.ru decided to leave 39 employees, including 32 writing journalists, the newspaper itself.
In particular, five employees of the Department of Special Correspondents, led by Ivan Kolpakov, editor of social networks Igor Belkin, as well as employees of the Russian, Mir, Internet and Media, Analysts and Textual Control Departments, will be resigned from Lenta.ru. All 13 employees of the technical department will also leave the editorial office in full force.
In addition, it previously became known that the special correspondent of the publication Ilya Azar will be dismissed by the decision of the shareholder of the Rambler-Afisha-Sup company, but the journalist has not yet received a written notification.
On Wednesday, the shareholder of the Afisha-Rambler-Sup holding Alexander Mamut fired Galina Timchenko from the post of editor-in-chief of Lenta.ru, appointing Alexei Gororevsky, Deputy General Director of the External Communications Company, who previously headed the Prochrevsky Internet publication of view.ru. Later it became known about the dismissal of Director General Lentu.ru Julia Minder.
Earlier on the same day, Roskomnadzor issued a warning to Lente.ru for publishing an interview with one of the leaders of the Right Sector Andrei Tarasenko. According to the department, in the interview itself, as well as in the material "Dmitrosh: sooner or later, but we are doomed to fight with the Moscow Empire", which is given a link in the text, "contains statements aimed at arousing of national growth."
After that, the editorial office of Lenta.ru turned to readers with an open letter, calling the dismissal of Timchenko an act of censorship and "direct pressure" for the publication.
