On the eve of the "border" were blocked by the Russian hosting provider at the request of Roskomnadzor and the Prosecutor General’s Office for "calls for illegal activities and participation in mass events conducted in violation of the established order." At the same time, Kasparov.ru and Ej.ru were introduced to the register of prohibited sites on the same grounds.

The “facets” require decisions and actions of supervisory authorities illegal and oblige them to eliminate obstacles to ensuring freedom of the media. The interests of the "faces" are represented by the legal analyst of the Association "Agora" Damir Gainutdinov.

The “facets” and their hosting provider have not yet received from Roskomnadzor to indicate specific materials, which, according to prosecutors, contain illegal calls. Meanwhile, the law obliges the supervisory authority to indicate the pages of the site that allow identifying the "illegal" information.

The lawsuit notes that the restriction of access to the media website actually means a temporary termination of activity, that according to Article 16 of the Law "On Mass Media", it is possible solely by decision of the founder or a court decision.

In Roskomnadzor on Friday, they said that the “facets”, Kasparov.ru and Ej.ru were blocked forever. “We do not see the potential of the legal, how the resources blocked in this way, that is, at the network address and with the wording that were contained in the demand of the Prosecutor General’s office, can be unlocked, ” the press secretary of Roskomnadzor Vadim Ampelonsky said on the air of the rain . “That is, the law in this case works as a unilateral ice rink, which is held in one direction and is not possible back ".

The Prosecutor General also ordered to block access to the blog of Alexei Navalny on the LJ platform. "The functioning of this Internet page violates the provisions of the court decision on the election of a preventive measure to a citizen in respect of whom a criminal case has been instituted," the Roskomnadzor said.

The register of prohibited sites also included a blog by the Podgy on the Echo of Moscow website. After Echo and Livejournal closed access to Navalny’s blog, these sites were removed from the register of prohibited information.
