The British Director of the Cross Culture of the Russian Federation and Great Britain is sure that disagreements in Ukraine will not interfere with the project

The political disagreements between Moscow and London, caused by the crisis in Ukraine, will not interfere with the cross -country culture of Russia and Great Britain, whether Gibson, the executive director of the Cultural Festival program from the British Council, is considered.

She took part in on Thursday evening in the premises of the Kalvert 22 London Cultural Foundation Presentation of the Russia Visualized project (“depicted Russia”). It is together with the Fund by the leading London exhibition sites - the Tate Modern Gallery, the Victoria and Albert Museum, the Museum of Science and the Gallery of photographers, ITAR -TASS reports.

“Of course, the situation is now tense,” said Lee Gibson. “But it is important that we maintain connections and dialogue between people, between organizations, between artists.”

“It is important that we leave open cultural channels for discussions about our joint interests, about our general past and what we can do together in the future,” she said.

As Elena Pakhomova, a representative of the London Museums, who conducted Russian exhibitions this year, told the agency, the Russian expositions, "joined forces in order to most fully submit to the public the program of the cross -year of culture."
