On March 16, a referendum on the status of the republic was held in Crimea, in which, according to the data after counting votes from 75% of polling stations, 95.7% of the voted chose the entry of autonomy into Russia

The appearance in the referendum amounted to 82.71% of voters.
Recall that two questions were submitted to the referendum: "Are you for the reunification of Crimea with Russia as a constituent entity of the Russian Federation?" And "You are for the restoration of the Constitution of the Republic of Crimea 1992 and for the status of Crimea as part of Ukraine?"
The Prime Minister of Crimea Sergey Aksenov recognized the referendum to be held, however, official Kyiv, as well as the leaders of a number of states, the OSCE and other international organizations called the referendum anti-constitutional.
