Viktor Iosifovich Slavkin was born in 1935 in Moscow, graduated from the Moscow Institute of Railway Transport (1958), worked as an engineer. Since the beginning of the 1960s, he collaborated with the pop studio of Moscow State University "Our House", where he made friends with Mark Rozovsky, Alexander Filippenko, Semen Farada, Gennady Khazanov.
In 1963, Viktor Slavkin became a professional writer, wrote the scripts of television “lights”, texts for amateur performances. His humorous stories printed the Yunost magazine, the newspaper Week, he twice received the Golden Calf award, awarded by the Literary Newspaper for the best story of the year, from 1967 to 1984 he worked in the Youth magazine the editor of the satire and humor department.
The first plays of Viktor Slavkin were a grotesque theater, absurd - one -act “Orchestra” (1965), “Bad Apartment” (1966), “Frost” (1968). Then Mark Rozovsky put a “bad apartment” in “Our House”, these plays were widely staged by student theaters throughout the country.
The play “Adult Daughter of the Young Man” - written in 1975, was very fame for Viktor Slavkin, it was staged in 1979 by Anatoly Vasiliev on the stage of the Moscow Theater named after Stanislavsky. In 1985, the premiere of the performance "Sergo" took place at the Taganka Theater.
In addition, the playwright worked for cinema and television - wrote the scripts of cartoons, was one of the creators and leading television shows “Old Apartment”. The book of the sixties is dedicated to the book of Viktor Slavkin, “A Monument to the Unknown Styleaga” (1996).
