Scott Ashton was born in 1949 in Washington, in 1967, together with his brother Ron Eston (guitar), Iggy Pop (vocals) and Dave Alexander (Basitara) formed the group The Stoiges .

In the mid-1970s, the group broke up, releasing three records- “The Stoogenes” (1969), “Fun House” (1970) and “Raw Power” (1973), which had a great influence on the development of punk rock and alternative music, significantly ahead of their time.

After the decay of The Stoogenes, Scott Ashton played with IGGI POP in his European round of 1978, worked in several groups with Scott Morgan, played in Destroy All Monsters and Devil Dogs groups, recorded with Sonny Vincent.

In 2003, Scott and Ron Eston returned to The Stoogenes , reunited under the name Iggy and the Stoogenes . In 2007, the group released the fourth studio album, “The Weirdness” . In 2010, The Stoogenes were introduced into the Rock and Roll Glory Hall.

The last album of The Stoogenes with the participation of Scott Eston, Ready to Die , was released in April 2013.
