Webinars are held on civilian control over police activities

The Moscow Helsinki Group is holding a series of webinars (Internet seminars) to share experience and methods of public control over the activities of the police. Webinar participants get access to methodological materials. The next webinar will be held on March 20 from 17:00 to 19:00. It will be devoted to the topic "Control over the activities of the police without contact with the police." The webinar will be hosted by Igor Sazhin, Chairman of the Komi Human Rights Commission "Memorial".

Those wishing to participate in the webinars should write a letter to the addresses [email protected] (Vadim Karastelev) and [email protected] (Olga Fedorova) indicating the full name, date and topic of the webinar.

To participate in the webinar, you will need a computer with Internet access (connection speed from 256 Kbps), speakers or headphones. 20 minutes before the start of the meeting, the person who submitted the application will receive a letter from the organizer with a link, a webinar code and detailed instructions for connecting. You will need to enter the site using the specified link and fill out a short registration form, in which you must specify your full name, email address, webinar code. If the connection to the webinar is already shared, you will be immediately connected to it, if access is not yet open, you will be directed to the "Waiting Room". As soon as the event starts, you will see the host's computer screen and hear his voice. Communication with the host during the webinar will be possible thanks to the chat where you can write your questions. At any time, by clicking the cross in the upper right corner of the window, you can exit the webinar.
