To recognize and include in Russia such an enclave in a state of actually war with Ukraine will become a problem for the Kremlin. As I understand it, this inclusion could take place or should have taken place if the whole south of Ukraine would be part of Russia, and then it is clear that Transnistria is also a candidate for inclusion. I think that this statement is a certain attempt to destabilize the situation in Moldova again. Moreover, there are reports that the Gagauz autonomy decided to create its own army for self -defense of the region. Most likely, after the visit of the leader in Moscow, Mikhail Formuzalla. They say he went to the Kremlin for consultations. On the one hand, it is clear that Tiraspol is not an independent player in this situation, and he fulfills what he is ordered, therefore, the corresponding request addressed to the Kremlin is a certain perplexity.
