
In the Khmelnitsky region of Ukraine, when landing, the Su-24M Air Forces of the country fell, Interfax reports with reference to the press service of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense.
The message states that the incident occurred on Friday at 17:15 Moscow time during a planned flight. The crew of the aircraft as part of the squadron commander and Sturman managed to eject. There are no victims as a result of the incident, destruction on the ground is also not recorded. The reasons for the incident are found out by a special commission.
The Su-24 front-line bomber is designed to apply missile and bomb strikes with aimed lesion of ground and surface targets, including at low altitudes. As of 2013, 24 Su-24M and 12 Su-24MR were in service with the Ukrainian Air Force.
This is not the first case of the loss of equipment in the Armed Forces of Ukraine in recent years. In particular, on March 20, three T-64 tanks with full ammunition and an ammunition warehouse burned in the military unit of Krivoy Rog. According to preliminary data, the cause of the incident was a short circuit. The investigating authorities excluded the possibility of sabotage.
