The judge of the Tver Court of Moscow Tatyana Neverova in absentia arrested the former deputy head of the Ministry of Agriculture Alexei Bazhanov, reports RAPSI. He is accused of fraud in the field of lending. Previously, he was put on the international wanted list.

According to the investigation, Bazhanov is hiding in Switzerland, having a residence permit in this country. The term of the criminal investigation was extended until June 10, 2014. Also, during the trial, it became known that three criminal cases were instituted against Bazhanov, which were combined into unified proceedings.

The lawyer introduced medical documents to the case file, indicating that Bazhanov is abroad for treatment. The defense during the process drew the attention of the court that Bazhanov was not properly notified.

On January 31, Kommersant said that the case of fraud with loans in the Masloproduct holding , founded by Bazhanov, is being investigated. According to the investigation, at the end of 2009, Masloproduct received a 1.15 billion rubles for the purchase of raw materials for an oil extraction plant in the Voronezh branch of the Rosselkhozbank.

According to the investigation, the received loan was transferred to some LLC Selkhozpostavka and LLC Agrome, of which funds disappeared in an unknown direction. At the same time, CJSC Masproduct was first re -registered, and then its property, on the security of which the loan was taken, was sold to "third parties" for 4 million rubles at an assessment value of 1.3 billion rubles.

Earlier in January, the publication reported that the first case against Bazhanov fell apart . At the end of December, the investigator led this case went on vacation. The employee of the Investigative Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs that replaced him decided to re -qualify the prosecution from part 4 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code (fraud committed by a criminal group on an especially large scale) for article 159.4 (fraud in the field of entrepreneurial activity).

Since the maximum sanction under this article is five years, the accused can be in jail for no more than six months. On December 30, they were released on a recognizance not to leave. At the same time, the accused turned to the investigation with the applications for the application of the "economic" amnesty to them, having managed to submit an application until the end of its term - January 4.

However, later it became known that the petitions of the defendants about the amnesty were rejected on the basis that the damage caused by Rosagrolysing was not repaid.

The case was opened in March 2013. In April, investigators of the Ministry of Internal Affairs detained Bazhanov and two heads of agro -industrial enterprises of the Voronezh region. They were accused of embezzlement of more than 1.1 billion rubles allocated by Rosagrolizing OJSC for the development and support of agriculture in the Voronezh region.

The investigation established that the unlawful scheme was implemented in 2008-2009. With controlled agricultural enterprises, leasing agreements for the supply of high -tech equipment for the production of refined sunflower oil were concluded. Budget funds were transferred to settlement accounts of “one-day” firms and were cashed out. At the same time, fictitious documents were drawn up about supposedly delivered supplies.

Thefts were committed in 2008-2009, when the head of the Rosagrolysing was the future head of the Ministry of Agriculture Elena Skrynnik. Soon she headed the Ministry of Agriculture and appointed Bazhanov her deputy. According to the investigation, Skrynnik did not know about the fraud of her subordinate.
