Oleg Dorman will hold a seminar in Memorial

The international memorial opens a series of master classes “Document” devoted to working with archival materials. On Monday, March 31 at 19:00, a meeting with film director Oleg Dorman will be held as part of the cycle.

The director of many films, including the Settail (1997–2008) about the translator Lilianna Lungina and the Nota (2012) about the conductor Rudolf Barshai, Oleg Dorman is also the author of radio pes, films, translations of English -language prose.

In September 2010, Oleg Dorman abandoned the special prize of the TEFI Academy of Russian Television for the film “Setter”, saying in an open letter that the award was awarded despite the fact that the authors of the film refused to participate in the competition.

“Among the members of the academy, its jury, founders, and so on are people, because of which our film could not get to the audience for eleven years. People who despise the public and who have made television the main factor in the moral and public disaster that occurred in the last ten years, ”wrote Dorman.

“Having received the greatest power, which, alas, has television, its leaders, editors, producers, journalists do not dare to make viewers worse. They do not have the right to corrupt, turn us into a rabble, into an evil, greedy, vulgar crowd. ”

The meeting with Oleg Dorman will be held in the conference hall of the International Memorial at ul. Barrow row 5/10 .
