
The Moscow District Court of St. Petersburg repeatedly condemned six former police officers, in 2010 before the death of the city of Denis Obrzhikovsky, who had gripped a resident of the city. This was reported by the open news agency with reference to the lawyer Anastasia Ekimovskaya, which, on the initiative of the Agora Association, represented the interests of the loved ones of the deceased.
The defendants in the case were the ex-head of the department for the fight against property crimes of the Moscow District Department of Internal Affairs of the city Ilya Galchuk and his colleagues Dmitry Sitnikov, Alexander Saenko, Ruslan Istalov, Igor Semenov and Sergey Luchnkov. All of them were found guilty under paragraphs “A” and “B” of part 3 of Article 286 (abuse of authority using violence and special equipment, and Galchuk and Sitnikov - also under part 4 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code (intentional infliction of serious harm to health, resulting in the death of the victim).
Galchuk and Sitnikov received eight years of strict regime, Saenko and Istalov - two years of general regime, Semenov and Luchitkov - respectively, three and a half and three years conditionally.
The first verdict in the case of the death of the Oszhikovsky was issued by the Moscow District Court on November 9, 2012. Then Galchuk and Sitnikov were sentenced to 10 years of strict regime, and the rest were sentenced to the same punishments as when repeated consideration of the case.
Nevertheless, on May 8, 2013, the criminal case of the St. Petersburg City Court, having examined the cassation performance of the prosecutor's office,canceled the verdict . “In the presence of a high -quality evidence base and without going into it at all, only on procedural issues were canceled due to court mistakes. Two and a half years of work were so simply crossed out,” Agora, Dmitry Dinze, represented this decision, representing the interests of the loved ones of the deceased.
At the same time, the prosecutor’s office, in her view, referring to the protracted nature of the consideration of the case, asked only to eliminate the inaccuracies and technical errors in the verdict of the district court, but not cancel it.
In September 2010, information about the involvement of Olga Zverekova, a girlfriend of Rotrzhikovsky, and apartment theft entered the department for the fight against property crimes of the Moscow District Department of Internal Affairs. The policemen established surveillance of the suspect and on October 1 detained the girl. During the detention, the employees took the keys to her apartment and entered her. In the apartment there was Rotrzhikovsky, who was also detained after a search of the apartment and delivered with Zverekova to the police department. There they kept a couple all night, after which the brutally beaten Oszhikovsky was taken to the hospital. On October 10, he died.
Judicial medical expert Andrei Yaromich discovered on the corpse of Rotrzhikovsky closed fractures of the head of the left and right shoulder bones with shifts of fragments and rupture of the joint bag, massive bruises with blood impregnation and softening of the soft tissues of the upper extremities, chest, in the axillary deposits, spreading to the lower and middle third sheyas, massive Bruises in the projection of the left hip joint, bruises and abrasions in the eyes, nose, brushes, hips, knee joints, legs, buttocks. The expert came to the conclusion that all the damage is lifetime, they were applied "with a solid stupid object both on the mechanism of blows with great mechanical force and the mechanism of impacts with compression." The damage was received "one after another in a short period of time shortly before entering the hospital on 10/02/2010 at 8:28". The expert concluded that bruises could form from blows with a fist and certainly could not appear "at the same time when the body falls from the height of their own height."
