"United Russia" will protect the story from provocateurs

United Russia is preparing a bill on the labeling of information related to historical events: the creators of films, books and games under the threat of administrative responsibility should warn in advance about the intentional distortion of the past.

“If the director shot a feature film based on historical events, but added far -fetched details, he must explain in advance to the audience in advance that his film is not related to historical facts. Otherwise, this can be regarded as a deliberate provocation, ”the author of the bill Oleg Savchenko told the independent newspaper .

In his opinion, not only artistic works should be marked: “Any information posted on the Internet affects the formation of public views, including this affects the history of Russia. I believe that for the distribution of knowingly false information on the network about the events of the past, you need to punish. But not without exception. Therefore, users who place such information need to be forced to mark it - so that the audience clearly understands whether there is a distortion of facts in it. ”

Oleg Savchenko also calls for the activation of the propaganda of patriotism among schoolchildren. He proposes to “take examples of modern patriotism to the federal level” and oblige teachers to talk about them in the lessons.

According to the deputy, his colleagues conduct regular conversations with schoolchildren on patriotic topics, and this week teenagers told about the events in Crimea: “Most of the children were worried about the question - will Crimean schoolchildren go to capital universities? What benefits will they receive, and will this affect the increase in competition among applicants? We explained to them that the inhabitants of the Crimea are now our fellow citizens and we need to treat them with respect. Including - help them switch to our educational program. ”

The bill introduces into the curriculum a subject dedicated to current events in the country “at least once a week a lesson in political information should be held in schools. - believes Savchenko. “This will help the younger generation correctly evaluate events and understand - where is black and where white.”

Love for the homeland, Savchenko believes, needs to be instilled in trips to historical places. Therefore, the bill provides for mandatory excursions of schoolchildren in places such as Mamaev Kurgan or the Brest Fortress, etc. Part of the costs of these trips will pay for the municipal budget.
