Towards the anniversary

On March 26, the Federation Council initiated a verification of facts on the complaint of a group of artists of the theater on Taganka - they were outraged by the activities of the new leadership of the theater.

At a meeting of the chamber, Senator Panteleev claimed that “liberals-whitewashers” penetrated the theater in order to promote “violence, homosexuality, pedophilia and suicide”. An example was given by the Maidan documentary with the participation of “Young people with the bandages of the“ Right Sector ”, the production of the performance“ Sheremetyevo-3 ”, denigrating security organs, the future premiere of“ Dreams of the War ”of the playwright Grinkov, who offends veterans, and Benifis Shevchuk instead of anniversary celebrations.

The pathos of Senator Panteleev with enthusiasm was picked up by the speaker of the SF Matvienko, who promised to send a request to the Ministry of Culture - “this cannot but be outraged,” she concluded.

This year the Taganka Theater is 50 years old. Now it is a “anniversary year group”, led by director Dmitry Volkostralov, a young team called by the Moscow Department of Culture to present a new look at the history of “Taganka”. They do not succeed, their work is caused by disputes and hot discussions, but the theater works, breathes, and pulsates all this time. The troupe exhausted by endless scandals, finally took up her own direct business - rehearse and play. Of course, there are always dissatisfied in the theater - the change of fate never goes painlessly. However, Taganka has been constantly shocked by tanka for the past twenty years hysterical meetings and clarification of relations with the leadership. Yuri Lyubimov himself could not cope with this collective “middle -aged crisis”, he left, slamming the door.

The claims set forth in the complaint have already been refuted by the director of the theater and the Moscow Department of Culture, which demanded from the senators of public apologies. There was no "Maidan" on Taganka. The Maidan Diaries festival held the Moscow theater.doc, and the Nazis from the “Right Sector” participated in it, but the young Ukrainian playwrights who came to the festival from Kyiv. The performance "Sheremetyevo-3" is not only not yet set-it has not even been written, and the author Dmitry Bykov does not know at all whether he will write this play. The play “Dreams of the War” is preparing for the holiday on May 9 not a mythical “Grinkov”, but a well -known and revered playwright Mikhail Durnenkov. On the day of the theater, the play “Tagan Front” is being prepared, which is not at all the benefit of Yuri Shevchuk, but includes a song of a musician specially written for this evening.

However, to refute all this nonsense, which regularly belp from the high stands of our legislators, there is neither meaning nor necessity.

History is really repeated as a farce: and those accusations that 50 years ago were thrown in the face of Lyubimov party functionaries, today are reproduced with frightening speed and in absolutely idiotic phase form. "Taganka", of course, will celebrate its anniversary. And in the anniversary evening, the current shameful showdowns will surely find their reflection. How did this happen at the last anniversary of the Golden Mask, where sonorous young people, drew up for Orthodox activists, sang their spiritual anthem of good - "Theater of good - our path!" On the motive of the famous zong from the movie "Cabaret". Remember? “Tomorrow Belongs to Me”-blond boys from the Hitler Youth picked up each other, gradually turning the lyrical-patriotic song into a national Nazi anthem. The theater sees everything.
