The Crimean banking system is gradually integrated into the Russian one. The Federation Council today approved the law on the transfer of part of the profit of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation for 2013 to the deposit insurance agency to maintain Crimean depositors. The funds will be transferred as a property contribution to the fund of compulsory insurance of deposits from profit received by the Bank of Russia in 2013. It is assumed that the DIA will create an autonomous non -profit organization Fund for the protection of depositors, which, if necessary, will pay Crimeans compensation for deposits. Senators also have already approved the law on deposits in Crimea with an insurance amount of 700 thousand rubles.
The deputy head of the Department of Financial Policy of the Ministry of Finance Sergey Platonov explained where the figure of 60 billion rubles came from: “Today ... three components have been accepted. These are deposits - an assessment of about 20 billion bills, OSAGO payments - up to about 5 billion. Payments for transportation, suppose, up to one billion. The rest is an additional reserve in case of unforeseen circumstances. ”
The banking system of Crimea is now in the best condition. Russian banks did not manage to enter this market, and Ukrainian do not want to work there. Today there was a message that 21 branches of the first Russian credit institution, a private bank of the RNKB, were opened in Crimea. At the same time, leading Russian financial institutions are in no hurry to develop their representative offices there.
