The Cure will release two albums

The Cure frontman Robert Smith announced that two albums of the famous British rock band would come out in the near future.

In his blog on The Cure, Smith spoke about 33 songs recorded in 2007 for the album “4:13 Dream” , but never fell into the final release.

This material - about two hours - would be enough for two CDs. “13 songs on each disk, most of them - with words and vocals, the rest - without vocals,” Robert Smith explained, adding that he was forced to abandon the pressure of representatives of the recording industry from the idea of ​​a double album.

According to the musician, in the coming months of The Cure, two records of unpublished songs will be released - a collection of remixes and instrumental compositions “4:26 Scream” and the “4:14 Scream” disc, on which songs with vocal will be recorded.

"4:13 Dream" , the 13th studio album The Cure , was released in October 2008. Robert Smith himself took part in his records (vocals, guitar, six -string bass, keyboards), as well as guitarist Porus Thompson, bassist Simon Gallup and drummer Jason Cooper.
