Events in Ukraine led to a political crisis on a global scale. A crisis of this scale is always a challenge to political philosophy. She always operates with concepts that are already in the intellectual space. The crisis finds us by surprise and pushes us to the quick search for a new language description of reality. Today you can already see all metaphors, historical analogies and political schemes that are involved in describing the Ukrainian crisis and the state of Russian society.

The theme of the next international conference of the magazine “New Literary Review” is “slavery as an intellectual heritage and cultural memory”. It is planned to discuss the circle of topics related to the cultural consequences of slavery in modern societies - how the slavery that existed in a number of countries in the modern era, after its disappearance as a social institution, continues to implicitly influence the formation and development of various spheres of society: intellectual ideas; values ​​and priorities; personal and corporate relations; institutional construction; behavioral and daily practices; legislative framework; group and individual identity; making political decisions, etc.

In 1987, at the peak of perestroika, the last and most grandiose museum of Lenin was built in the village of Gorki. After the collapse of the communist ideology, the flow of pilgrims gradually dried up. From time to time, pioneers and police ceremonies are held here, sometimes Chinese delegations and random visitors look in, for whom this is rather a historical attraction - Leninland. And only the faithful keepers of the museum are still waiting for the return of former times in the empty halls. Each of them has its own feelings and attitude to Lenin.
