It is pleased that despite these circumstances, diversity and professionalism are preserved - and our long list demonstrates this "Today, April 3, the jury of the Politzosvet Prize announced 25 applicants for the title of best political publicist.

The jury of this season includes an economist, scientist, publicist and public figure Yevgeny Yasin, journalist Tatyana Malkina, economist Vladislav Inozemtsev, political analyst Lilia Shevtsova, journalist Maxim Trudolyubov and 2012 Prize laureate, analyst Sergei Shpilkin. This year the chairman of the jury was the journalist, Columnist Slon.ru Alexander Baunov.
The Politzosvet competition was founded in 2011 at the initiative of Dmitry Zimin and is held annually with the support of the Liberal Mission Foundation. The purpose of the award is to attract the attention of society to journalists, publicists and bloggers who, with their work, contribute to the political education of Russians and systematically clarify the current situation in Russia and in the world.
This year, newspaper-journal, radio, television and online publications of socio-political topics were accepted for the competition. The applicants were the editorial offices of the central and regional media, public organizations and members of the jury of the prize, members of the Council of the Liberal Mission Foundation. In total, more than 100 applications were accepted, from which the jury, after a careful study of the work submitted to the competition, took 25 participants in the long-list.
On April 24, a list of five finalists of the competition will be announced, and on May 29 the laureate will be determined at the ceremony, which will receive a prize of 500 thousand rubles and read a series of lectures at the universities of Russia. The works of five finalists will be published in a collection with a DVD application and sent to the university libraries of Russia.
