The Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev signed a resolution that simplifies the use of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances for medical purposes while maintaining the necessary measures to control their turnover. So the authorities reacted to difficulties with the receipt of strong painkillers for the patients who need them. The authorities softened, reacting to the resonant suicide of the patient with cancer Rear Admiral Apanasenko, who shot himself in his head after his wife could not get the drug due to one unfinished signature.

The decree approves changes in the rules for storing narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances and their precursors. In particular, from 3 to 10 days the storage period for the stock of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances in the premises of a number of medical organizations is increasing. In addition, a list of temporary storage of drugs is supplemented.

As the Interfax recalls, earlier, in March, the head of the FSKN Viktor Ivanov stated that all the barriers that impede the issuance of narcotic painkillers in Russia will be removed.

In addition, on April 2, the chief narcologist of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, Evgeny Brun, said that the number of narcotism, which can be issued by cancer patients, can be increased. "The proposals have also been made that the validity of the prescription forms will be lengthened to up to 30 days, and that the number of narcotism, which will be issued according to these recipes, will also be increased," Brun said.

Brun noted that the bill on a change in the availability of the use of narcotic drugs was submitted to the State Duma after a tragic case with Rear Admiral Vyacheslav Apanasenko.
