Shenderovich was obliged to pay a million to the head of the Duma faction of "United Russia"

The Preobrazhensky court of Moscow decided to recover 1 million rubles from the journalist Viktor Shenderovich in favor of the head of France, United Russia in the State Duma of Vladimir Vasiliev.

This was reported by the website of the Radio station "Echo of Moscow" .

On February 13, Shenderovich published the text “Putin and the girl on skates” , dedicated to the opening of the Olympics in Sochi. After that, Vasiliev accused the journalist of incorrect comparison of modern Russia with the fascist Germany of the 30s, and demanded an apology.

Shenderovich did not apologize, but wrote a new text called “Anti -Fascists with bananas” , which was mentioned by Vasiliev. This publication was the reason for the court.
