"More & Rals." "You can’t have time for everything"

On April 12, the Rock-Veselchaks Trio "More & Ralsa" will present a new one who has not yet received the name of the album in the Moscow club Volta-the first in five years. "More & Rals"-veterans of the Russian Indie Rock. They have existed since 1998. Once they cleverly dodged from getting into the Russian show business: instead of signing a contract, they chose the path of independent musicians and declared their strategy in the heading of the first album-“play clubs and milk sponsors”. A group that played a dance punk in Russian and did not disdain the causes for foreign hits was loved by a club audience and journalists. Back in 2005, the Kommersant newspaper, calling the "More & Rals" by the Russians Kaiser Chiefs, admitted that "they are not shining in Russia." The musicians love to joke too much. As can be seen from the new song and comments on it, the leader of the group Lelik (Alexei Zvertkov), since then nothing has changed.

-Why did you decide to resume the concert activity, which was declared stopped in 2010? It was such a trick to attract attention or were they really going to close the project and disperse, but something prevented?

-This is rock and roll dependence, like a strong drug ... you can tie it, but it’s also easy to break.

-Tell us about the new album in more detail-what kind of “current trends” that you do not lose sight of, how is it written about the new album in a press release?

- Yu. Antonov has an old song “We are all in a hurry for miracles ...”. He would know how people are in a hurry now, he would probably not have sang, but screamed. And I am silent about modern trends ... Mix the Olivier salad with the vinaigrette, add chili, mayonnaise, throw sushi there, go and put in the microwave before the appearance of a black crust - here will be modern trends.

-I perceived the new song “You can’t have time” as a nostalgic: I remembered the end of the 1990s, when it seemed that the wave of new guitar groups-“Mumiy Troll”, “Dancing Minus”, “Cartoons”-and the Russian A la British Pop would become the music of the masses. And then did you have any mindset and sensations?

-Then we had mixed sensations from smoke, alcohol and the search for girls ... And all this under Tequilajazzz and Western rock and roll.

- What was written in the contract with Leonid Burlakov, at that time the producer “Mumiy Troll” and Zemfira, which did not suit you?

- In such contracts there is a page with a small paragraph that says: “Take your pants, bend, smile ... Remove your pants, bend, smile ... for 5 ... no, 50 years.”
