The head of the Duma United Russia Vasiliev sued Schenderovich a million rubles for a blog entry

The head of the United Russia faction in the State Duma of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Vasiliev, sued a million rubles from publicist Viktor Schenderovich for incorrect statements to the parliamentarian in one of the journalist's publications. The blog entry, which became the occasion for the judicial lawsuit, was associated with the previous material of the writer about the parallels between the games of 1936 in Germany and the Olympics in Sochi, around which a whole scandal erupted. Vasiliev promises to transfer money received from Shenderovich to the sports school , who raised the skater Julia Lipnitskaya, who was also mentioned in the publication of the journalist.

The Preobrazhensky court of Moscow decided to recover 1 million rubles from Schenderovich in favor of the head of the YP faction in the State Duma of Vasiliev, Interfax reports. “The court decided to recover one million rubles from Schenderovich in favor of Vasiliev,” Ruslan Mammadov, press secretary of the court, told the agency.

It is worth noting that Vasiliev’s lawsuit about protecting honor and dignity is indirectly related to the scandal around the Schenderovich blog called “Putin and the girl on the skates”, published on the website of the Echo of Moscow radio station on February 10, 2014. In it, the writer critically responded about the Olympics in Sochi, comparing it with the 1936 games in fascist Germany.

As a result, deputies of the State Duma of the Russian Federation demanded from Schenderovich an apology for their "fascist statements." In particular, it was Vasiliev that stated that the information was sounded on Echo, for which "he would have to apologize." The leader of the Duma United Russia noted that "society does not forgive insults for veterans and for those who cannot stand up for themselves."

In response to all the attacks, Shenderovich explained to Newsru.com that he did not compare the "Putin" and Nazi regimes, but spoke only about the PR-component sports event. In his post, the writer talked about how a significant sporting event improves the image of the Russian authorities who do not deserve it at all. In his opinion, the situation was similar in a similar way during the 1936 Olympics, when the great athletes, without realizing it themselves, raised the authority of the power of the National Socialists, which as a result led to monstrous and unforeseen consequences.

Then Shenderovich wrote a whole post in the "Daily Journal" under the name "Anti -Fascists with bananas", in which he explained in the ironic manner with an abundance of whip expressions why his material about the 2014 Olympics is not fascist, but opposite anti -fascist. It was this publication that became the reason for the trial.

In particular, Schenderovich wrote about Vasiliev: "The former policeman who defended, in half with Zhirinov, Abeltsev, one for two stolen dissertation is not obliged to even know the alphabet, but he could find a couple of competent sane in Moscow, which would tell him that my text is anti -fascist." "But Mr. Vasiliev did not turn on his brains out of the principle, and it turned out ridiculous: I, reminding, in the edification of the jubilant, about the bloody price of the Nazi PR at the Berlin Olympiad, - fascist!" - the publicist was indignant.

It is worth noting that the publication of Shenderovich about the Olympics in Sochi also caused dissatisfaction with representatives of Jewish communities, who said that even pluralism should have restrictions. In their opinion, expressing your point of view is good, but comparing anything with the crimes of fascism is absolutely unacceptable.

At the same time, a group of writers from the Russian Pen-Center, who turned to the Russian authorities with a request to stop the injury of the journalist, stood up for Shenderovich. The writers demanded that the State Civil Code provide the country with freedom of speech assigned constitutionally.

Meanwhile, Vasiliev said that he was going to transfer money collected by the court in his favor from the publicist Echo of Moscow, to the sports school, who raised the skater Julia Lipnitskaya, ITAR-TASS reports. At the same time, Vasiliev emphasized that his words were interpreted, as if he “called someone’s statements fascist”, and “the verbal skirmish began to flare up”, although the unicorn did not take part in it in the future. “Finally, Shenderovich in the program of the Rain TV channel called me a“ villain ”and said that my other colleagues are also like that,” the deputy said, having put on how often he had to deal with the violation of honor and dignity.

Vasiliev noted that he estimated the damage caused to him at three million rubles, but in the end he succeeded only one. “I made a decision for myself - this money will be transferred to the figure skating school in Yekaterinburg, in which Julia Lipnitskaya was brought up,” the parliamentarian said. “In the course of the development of the question, it turned out that repairs are supposed there. I will be glad if this money comes to this school and help some girls and boys to fly up with ice, show their skill, talents of their mentors and our country, the pride of which they, and not only they, experience when they win,” concluded the uninitrospecture.
