Around the VKontakte, a war of claims begins. According to Forbes , Bulion Development Limited, which owns 11.9% of the social network and owned by Mail.ru Group, filed a lawsuit against two other VKontakte shareholders - Blesmir Development Limited and Palagon Limited. Both of them are controlled by the United Capital Partners (UCP) and Ilya Shcherbovich.
Claims of the structure of Mail.ru relate to the transaction on the acquisition of the VKontakte shares, which took place about a year ago. Bulion insists that the transaction was in violation of the rights of shareholders of the social network: before selling a share in the company to third -party investors, paper should be offered to existing shareholders. Bullion is going to seek elimination of violations committed in the sale of shares by former VKontakte shareholders.
Earlier on Monday, it became known that UCP Ilya Shcherbovich filed claims against the founder of the social network Pavel Durov and Mail.ru Group. The statement states that Durov violated the rights of the Fund as a shareholder, when in parallel with work on VKontakte he developed his own Telegram messenger. In this regard, UCP requires Telegram to be transferred to VKontakte. In addition, as the Vedomosti newspaper reported, the investment fund Shcherbovich bought three American companies that manage some aspects of the Telegram business.
Today, a lawsuit was filed against the UCP about violation of the rights of shareholders was announced by Pavel Durov.
“The sale of 48% of the shares was illegal, and the UCP fund is not a legitimate shareholder of VKontakte. <...> Last week, a lawsuit was filed in the arbitration, in the event of which 48% of the illegally sold VKontakte shares should be - according to all written and oral agreements, they are proposed at that time to shareholders at the price of the sale, ” he wrote on his page .
Against the background of news of mutual claims around the “VKontakte”, Mail.ru Group shares on the London Exchange fell. Since the opening of the bidding, the paper has fallen in price by 7.24% compared to the closing price on Friday - up to $ 32.44 per GDR, Interfax reports.
