A year ago, on April 8, 2013, at the age of 87, Margaret Hilda Thatcher, British Prime Minister in 1979-1990, nicknamed for her firmness in upholding the principles of conservatism and the free market of the “Iron Lady”, died. After leaving the House of Commons in 1992, she received a life peerage and a baroness. In 1984, after meeting with Mikhail Gorbachev, Thatcher said: “I like Mr. Gorbachev. You can deal with him."
