Yuri Mamleev will give a lecture at the "Vinzavod"

On April 28, at 19.30, a lecture by Yuri Mamleev on the topic “The Gods Return” will take place in the vintage hall of the Center for Contemporary Art “Winzavod” in Moscow as part of the Philosophical Club project. Free admission.

Yuri Vitalievich Mamleev (b. 1931)-one of the main characters of unofficial literature in the 1960–70s in the Soviet Union. The philosopher, a prose writer, influencing Vladimir Sorokin, Viktor Pelevin, Yegor Letov and Sergey Kurekhin, Mamleev can also be called the conductor of the “prohibitive” in Soviet literature.

Its concept of metaphysical realism, in other words, realism with access to another dimension, is associated with the theories of Nikolai Berdyaev, and with the “Russian idea”, as well as with Nietzscheanism and the search for himself in the philosophy of Martin Heidegger. It is impossible to explain it objectively and choose monosyllabic characteristics, the ideas of Mamleev are interpreted from various sides and points of view.

Describing his work, Mamleev says that “the side of evil spirits interested me little. I was interested, first of all, God and man. But the shifts that are described there [the novel “Shatuns”, 1966] are shifts when a person wants to go beyond, and what lies outside the human mind. ”

At a lecture on April 28, Yuri Mamleev will reveal his ideas about gods, demons, modernity and the future of mankind. Modeling the conversation "Philosophical Club" invited the journalist and writer Igor Dudinsky, a former member of the mug Mamleev.
