Russia ignored Pase's meeting

The Russian delegation at the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe at the last moment decided to ignore the meeting of the Assembly, which discusses the issue of sanctions in connection with the annexation of Crimea. According to Radio, Radio Liberty, Leonid Velekhov, reports from Strasbourg, judging by the fact that until the very beginning of the meeting the names of Alexei Pushkov, Leonid Slutsky and other members of the Russian delegation were listed in the list of speakers, the decision was made at the last moment.

In the resolution adopted on Wednesday PACE on a report on the situation in Ukraine, Russian aggression and the annexation of Crimea are sharply condemned, which are obvious violations of international law.

The resolution was approved by 154 votes at 26 against and 14 abstained.
