
The Ministry of Finance of Russia, together with the Federal Treasury, will again begin to purchase foreign currency in order to replenish the reserve fund. The first operations to buy currency from the Central Bank will be held on April 14, according to the website of the ministry.
Every day, the Ministry of Finance will purchase a currency for 3.5 billion rubles. Purchases can be halved or suspended again if the bivalve basket overcomes the upper inner range or upper boundary of the Central Bank of the operating room, respectively.
If then the bivalve basket again chews, the purchases of the currency will resume.
The purchase of foreign currency, which began on February 20, was suspended on March 4 due to an increase in volatility in financial markets. The dollar and euro exchange rates on the Moscow Exchange sharply grew up the day after the Ministry of Finance announced the upcoming purchase of currency.
Initially, the Ministry of Finance planned to purchase currencies for 212 billion rubles, and all the operations associated with this should have ended in May.
The courses of the main world currencies in Russia have been growing since the beginning of 2014. In March, the dollar reached 36.7 rubles, and the euro - almost 51 rubles. The official dollar exchange rate on April 10 amounted to 35,7493 rubles, the euro exchange rate was 49.2911 rubles.
