Within two weeks, the International Monetary Fund will decide on a program of lending to the economy of Ukraine, after which the country will be provided with financial assistance in increasing gold and foreign exchange reserves and stabilizing the hryvnia. Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk made such a statement today on the air of the First National TV Channel.
“The country has been plundered, there are no gold and foreign exchange reserves. Now the gold and foreign exchange reserves will come, we will immediately stabilize the exchange rate, ” UNIAN quotes the head of government .
Yatsenyuk also said that Ukraine's economy would take two years to stabilize.
Ukraine is going to sign a cooperation program with the IMF at the end of April. The amount of funding will be about 14-18 billion dollars for a period of two years. The first tranche is expected to be $3 billion.
