US Vice President Biden will visit Ukraine: it will discuss a crisis in the east and energy

US Vice President Joe Biden plans to meet in Kiev on April 22 with representatives of the Ukrainian government, DW reports with reference to the White House. By his visit, Biden will emphasize the "solid support of the United States by the Unified Democratic Ukraine, which will independently determine its future path."

The US presidential administration connects Biden’s arrival in Kiev with new accusations against the Russian authorities made by the head of the State Department John Kerry. The Vice President is reported to discuss the situation in the southeast of Ukraine, where, according to the White House, "pro-Russian separatists, probably, with the support of Moscow, continue the someday campaign of incitement and sabotage to destabilize the Ukrainian state."

In addition, at a meeting in Kyiv, the parties will be affected by the issues of ensuring the energy security of Ukraine.

During the night telephone conversation between the head of the State Department of Kerry and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov, Kerry warned that Moscow was waiting for Moscow if it did not take steps to normalize the situation in the east of Ukraine. Moreover, it was directly indicated that the "rebels" in the Donetsk region, captivating state institutions, are armed with "Russian weapons" and dressed in the same uniform as the Russian military acting in the Crimea.
