When purchasing an apartment in a new building, not all buyers realize that after completion of construction they will receive an apartment that is not completely ready for living, but will require certain costs for repair work. After all, most apartments in modern new buildings are sold without finishing or even rough finishing. Often, by the time they move to a new apartment, its owners have a fairly modest amount of savings for the initial decoration, especially if we are talking about economy-class housing purchased with borrowed funds.

Specialists from the MIEL-New Buildings company have found out how much it will cost to renovate one-, two- and three-room apartments in houses of the most popular panel series.

If we consider the ratio of the cost of apartments and the cost of finishing, the most expensive for all types of apartments is rough finishing in houses of the I-155 panel series; its cost is approximately 16% of the average price of an apartment. Repairs in new buildings of the KOPE panel series turned out to be the most economical - about 10% of the average price of apartments. The average cost of rough finishing for panel houses is about 13% of the average cost of apartments.

According to the MIEL-New Buildings company, the average price for rough finishing of apartments in panel houses is 8,516 rubles/sq.m. Finishing costs amount on average to another 60% of the amount obtained when calculating rough finishing - this is about 13,600 rubles / sq.m. Thus, the total cost of preparing the apartment for occupancy using high-quality finishing materials is approximately 22,000 rubles/sq.m.
