The Zamoskvoretsky court of Moscow transferred to the consideration of the claims of the Memorial human rights center, the Voice Association, the Public Verdict Foundation and the Yuriks Organization, contesting prosecutorial ideas about the violation of the Law on Foreign Agents, the Grana correspondent reports.

In February last year, 11 organizations sent a complaint to the law on non -profit organizations to the European Court of Human Rights. This law, which entered into force in November 2012, obliges the Russian NPOs financed from abroad and engaged in political activities, register as "foreign agents".

Mass inspections of NGOs began in a number of Russian regions at the end of March. The inspectors came to the office of the Memorial. According to the human rights center, the regime of prosecutorial inspections is not settled with sufficient accuracy.

During the inspections, the prosecutor's office allegedly revealed the signs of a foreign agent in the “memorial”. According to the prosecutor, "in 2010, the organization received 52 million rubles from foreign citizens and organizations, and in 2011 - over 40 million rubles." The prosecutor also noted that fixed assets came from the Ford Foundation and other organizations registered in the United States.
