© RoskomnadzorOn Tuesday, April 15, the State Duma Committee on Information Policy unanimously approved the package of “anti -terrorist amendments” regarding the Internet. Socials will be obliged to submit applications to Roskomnadzor and store their customers.
The amendments are supposed to be made to the second reading, the laws on information that regulate the work of information distributors on the Internet, Vedomosti reports.
The project obliges individuals and legal entities organizing the distribution or exchange of data on the Web, notify Roskomnadzor, store information on users' actions for six months and provide it with law enforcement agencies at the first request.
According to the representative of Roskomnadzor Vadim Ampelonsky, the data exchange organizers will be considered all sites that allow users to exchange data - social networks, bloghosting and forums.
Blogs with a vision of more than 3,000 users per day are actually equal to the media - they will be required to check the reliability of the information posted, indicate age -related restrictions for users, as well as comply with the media laws, including the election campaign, counteracting extremism and the spread of information about the private life of citizens.
Roskomnadzor intends to develop a methodology for including sites in the register and determine their attendance together with the Internet industry.
