Source: Yanukovych will return to Donetsk on Sunday

The dismissed President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych will return to Donetsk, REGNUM reports citing a source at the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Ukraine.

According to the interlocutor of the news agency, Yanukovych will arrive in Donetsk on Sunday, April 20.

“According to my information, the Kremlin has not yet decided on the future social and political structure of Donbass. Two options are being considered: it can be either an independent Donetsk Republic or a federal district within the Russian Federation following the example of Crimea,” the source said.

On Monday, in an interview with the Ekho Moskvy radio station, LDPR leader Vladimir Zhirinovsky said that Yanukovych would return to Kyiv by May 1 in order to "legitimize the processes." According to the deputy, Yanukovych will dissolve the Verkhovna Rada, cancel the elections, hold a referendum and grant full independence to 9 regions of southeastern Ukraine.
